The following explains our focus in ministry and some of the ministries of Calvary Chapel Southampton

People often ask what the ministry focus is at Calvary Chapel. The answer is always the same and is what partly what makes Calvary Chapel so unique: it's the verse by verse, chapter by chapter, book by book study of the whole bible. That's it! So simple! We study all of God's Word so that we might know God and allow His Spirit to transform us by His Word to be the people that He wants us to be.

Below are just some of the ministries of Calvary Chapel Southampton

Women's Ministry

The women of the church meet for fellowship, Bible study and prayer every Monday evening at 8. Please contact us for the location.

Come and learn the basics of Christianity in an informal environment. Flat 6, 22 Winn Road, Highfield

A home group with an emphasis on Praise and Worship. Devotions in the Psalms. Every Wednesday at 8pm, 19 Sydney Road, Shirley

The college & career group are currently studying the Letter to the Romans. It is held at the Mitre Pub, Portswood during normal opening hours - this makes for a very informal but dynamic atmosphere. Study starts at 6:30 and we meet for food at 7:30pm. ALL ARE WELCOME!

We believe that God is a creative and imaginative Designer and that we are created in His likeness to appreciate art and entertainment as sources of spiritual dialogue. Many films have spiritual overtones and if we are true to God's Word, and use films as a platform for understanding  we can engage with this culture and better understand biblical concepts. We watch a film and then talk about theology and its practical implications. (We use the Bible as our final authority)

Men's Ministry

The men of the church get together every second Saturday of the month for breakfast, fellowship and time in the Word. Breakfast is served at 8am. Please contact us for the location.

Music Ministry
We recognize that the Christians first call is to worship God and music is an expression of that worship. We are blessed to have so many good musicians and servant leaders whose hearts are tuned to worshipping the lord through music. We generally have an upbeat, modern, relaxed and informal style of worship that incorporates hymns, modern choruses and songs. Many of the songs we sing have been written by servant leaders and musicians at Calvary Chapel.

Children's Ministry
Our vision is to love God's children and see them come to love and experience Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour. Our Children's Ministry (years 4 to 11) is held the same time as the adult service. The children are separated according to academic level and emphasizes Biblical content and creative application of spiritual principles through teaching, crafts, games and music.

Crèche
To allow you to worship and study undistracted we have a supervised crèche for toddlers where toys and games are available for them to play with.

New Media
This web site has been brought to you from the new media ministry of Calvary Chapel. This ministry includes web design and audio & visual recordings of both music and sermons. All our Bible studies are available in our resources section or can be ordered on audio cd or MP3 CDROM.
