| We
believe that God is a creative and imaginative Designer and that we
are created in His likeness to appreciate art and entertainment as
sources of spiritual dialogue.
The
Apostle Paul walked through Athens and noticed the many idols that
were on display and the many shrines that were there. Whilst in Athens
he visited Mars Hill, a center for spiritual dialogue, and used those
idols as the starting point for one of the greatest sermons ever
preached.
Cinemas
are the modern day pulpits and many films have spiritual overtones. If
we are true to God's Word, and use films as a platform for
understanding (just like Paul used the Athenian idols) we can engage
with this culture and better understand biblical concepts.
Film
& Theology is a monthly meeting that exists to redeem films and
instruct the believer about spiritual things. We use the Bible as our
final authority.
We
watch a whole film and then discuss the theological and practical
ramifications.
